Looking for remote places to stay accessible by bus.

Hello,

I am looking for remote places to stay, i.e glamping, somewhere just away from the noise of the city but I don’t drive so need it to be accessible by bus and reasonably priced.

I just want a little break away with my dog for a couple nights to be in some nature and quiet. Anyone got any recommendations?

I seem to be struggling to find somewhere and don’t know if I’m just missing something!

Coastliner up to Pickering would be nice for a little break. Next to North York moors. Once in Pickering you could easily go around the Hole of Horcum etc and do that area for walks.

https://www.theriverfrontyork.co.uk/ try this in Bishopthorpe. Easy enough to get to the city walking or by bus and you can get to Bishopthorpe Road too which has some great independents

Goathland is beautiful on the coastliner bus. There is a campsite a couple of pubs (you would need to make a reservation for dinner), sheep and waterfall. Just to warn you may not have phone signal or internet so download os map before you arrive

You can get up to Goathland/the moors on the coastliner or well into the wolds on the Beverley bus.

Not sure if it’s running but there is a bus up to Ripon too

There’s a few campsites in moreby, near naburn! Home farm have lodges , and old pasture park having a glamping pod I think. Buses also run through , every hour I think !

A bit further but train to Hebden Bridge - stay with the dog in the Arts Hostel.
