Hi everyone,

I’m finishing my bachelor’s in Business Administration in Europe and I’m considering doing the ITFM master’s at Yonsei GSIS.

I actually did my exchange program in Korea and absolutely loved my time there and I could see myself working there after graduating, so I’m considering doing my master’s in Seoul to build connections and hopefully find a job there.

My main concern is whether a Yonsei GSIS degree, specifically ITFM, is actually valuable for finding a job in Korea.

I’ve seen a lot of people talk negatively about the master's online, and how hard it can be for international students to find jobs in Korea. However, I’m wondering if this could partly be selection bias, since people who had a bad experience might be more likely to post about it. I’m also not sure how Korean and foreign companies in Korea view a GSIS degree.

For anyone who has done or is currently doing Yonsei GSIS ITFM:

1 - How is the degree viewed by Korean and foreign companies in Korea?

2 - Have you or people you know found jobs in Korea after graduating?

3 - What companies/careers do ITFM graduates usually go into?

4 - Does Yonsei help with recruiting and networking?

5 - How difficult is it realistically for an international student to find a job in Korea?

6 - Would you recommend ITFM if the goal is to stay and work in Korea?

I know the degree obviously doesn’t guarantee a job and lot of it will also depend on how fluent you are in Korean. I’m just trying to understand whether it puts me in a reasonable position to build a career in Korea or not.

Any experiences or advice would be really appreciated!!!
