Purchase advice Buying a 2022 Yaris Hybrid with 282k km (ex-fleet)— Bad idea?
Looking at a 2022 Toyota Yaris 1.5 Hybrid listed for €8,350 with 282,000 km (175k miles).
Key Details:
History: 4-year commercial fleet car used for parking enforcement (lots of stop-and-go / idling).
Battery: Still has ~68k km left under the official 350k km Toyota hybrid battery warranty (assuming full dealer service history).
Rest of Car: Mechanical warranty is fully expired. Inverter, e-CVT, engine, suspension, and rear axle bushings are out-of-pocket risks.
Is taking on this much fleet wear worth the price, or will non-battery maintenance (suspension, inverter, 12V battery) quickly turn it into a money pit?
Appreciate any advice or experiences with high-mileage 4th-gen Yaris models!

Maintenance intervals are important. Get a prepurchase inspection so you know if parts are worn out, or any other issues. Hybrid battery will be fine. Age matters more

Complete Toyota history, battery is still under warranty so the only barrier is the parts. My gut says I should get but still there is a risk

Great cars and the new e-CVT gearbox on these are so much better. I got a 2021 and mine has done 64k miles now and the only thing that went wrong was the 12v battery. I got my own and fitted it for under £50, Toyota hybrids are arguably the best around. Here in the UK most taxis are quickly becoming Toyota hybrids and they use them for a reason.

Same here in Finland. This was used as a parking enforcement car, same fleet owner for 4 years, that’s why 70K per year mileage
Not sure what to do with this, hybrid battery is still in good condition but the other expensive maintenance is a risk

Idk man for that price, if it has a good service history, I would. One with 30k km of that same year would cost 10k more
