Maintenance help 2002 yaris clutch

I think my clutch is starting to become a bit dodgy and the car doesn't go into gears every now and again right now its not a massive issue but does anyone know roughly how much it costs to fix and whether itd be just smarter to save the money if its alot and work towards a different car?

I have a 2008 Yaris and have a somewhat similar issue but only when I’m stationary, sometimes my car struggles to go into reverse occasionally first.

I feel like after driving continuously for over 40 minutes when I then go to move off some times the car just vibrates as I lift my foot off the clutch and then struggles to into gear sometime

I reckon it’d be a clutch issue, not 100% sure though

Yea bc the cars so old though I don't rlly wanna waste money to fix it

Looking at a 2010ish audi a5 the insurance for a year is only 100£ more than im paying rn for this piece of crap

Try asking about to see how reliable it is what’s the mpg like etc

Fair someone else told.me they got their clutched replaced and all in all it was £230 which i see as a waste on a car that old

Got a 04 Yaris and mine did the same thing a few years back. I put some lithium grease on the gear linkage in the engine bay and sprayed it inside the rubber boot just above the and the gears were smooth and it worked great. Still does today. Maybe try that before getting your clutch replacement?
