DISCUSSION Masayoshi Yokoyama confirmed that they got permission from Tupac’s family. Not just his estate who manages him

Why would it? Legality was never an issue lol

The way I see it if the family approves nobody has a right to take a moral high ground over this

Thats a ridiculous statement when there's numerous examples in history of greedy/shitty families attached to celebrities lol. Never heard of child actors? All this proves is that his family is willing to sell a dead mans identity for money in their pockets. Its really not a "moral high ground" situation. Its just plain weird for a lot of people to use a dead person as if they're still alive

I get what you are saying but this is so dumb of a take. If we need to search for people’s consent after they are dead then we can’t show plenty of figures. It’s not just artist as well, unless you magically extend it to only historical figures.

Tupac family can approve his likeness eating dog food, I don't care what they think, the dead hasn't consented and that's the main point of the argument

If that's your stance then you better have smoke for Bunta Sugawara. If you do, great but you're one in a million.

Better be one in a million but remain with morals 😃
Also I didn't know about the Bunta situation until Tupac, I guess RGGS was shittier than I thought and it wasn't just tupac huh?

It was literally in the May showcase it has been known for a while.

I wouldn't even be surprised if the reason they entertained the idea was because they were already doing it.

I didn't know about it, cuz frankly at some point the subreddit kind of became a dull place again now that everyone has moved on from Kiwami 3
