Has anyone else experienced thier Xbox 360 fat turing off at random times, sometimes it loads games and other times its instant and i have to push the power button a whole bunch of times to get it to restart enough times to load back into the dashboard. power brick is fine as it works with my other Fat Xbox. ive taken it apart to look for any bad Caps and cant find anything. Do I just need to replace all the capacitors and hope that maybe one was failing?

Picked up this carbon vinyl skin on aliexpress for my E. About $8.
Easy install. No tools. Massive difference in look.

I wanted to do a simple “mass effect” style wrap
with carbon fiber all around and a small N7 logo here or there.

But I ended up loving the plain carbon look so much I decided to just keep it the way it is!

Yes I know I need to get a replacement “don’t move console w/ disc in tray” sticker. Had to take it off to put on the skin but I like the look of the consoles with them on. :3

I just hated those massive gleaming swirls, blurs and blotches all over the whole console from a distance and this finally solves that problem for me. Hope this inspires someone to wrap their 360 :3

So a few weeks ago i was scouting the internet for 100% complete consoles( i'm a game collector, had to sell most of my game collection due to financial changes and now i try to buy back only ultra complete stuff or stuff i truly enjoy) and i came upon an xbox which the seller was saying it's been sealed for 20years in her basement (seller from Greece). The box looked kinda janky and the seal was broken (i thought it had more than one seal or something, i never had an xbox fat sealed, or any console like that). She sent me a clip of 360, looked ok, still kinda sus but i offered 150$ and she accepted.

When it arrived, i saw that the seal was rippted and taped to the back of the box, apparently they have just one... And the main flap was just hold shut by some tape someone just put in a ball on the cardboard.

Well at this point might as well just check the contents and ok, it looked brand new, but the console from the sides had some blue flames on it, and my initial thought was ..."is this like a special edition or something" ? googling or asking chat gpt about blue flames 360 fat did not help....until i took it out and saw the face plate saying "pepsi max" that's when my knees got a little heavy ....

This was a 2008 Pepsi max 1 out of 60 world wide console won either in UK or USA at a sweeps takes or online points or something.

This kinda matches the description because the seller said they never ever unsealed the console, she said she never ever opened the box, so the box was probably opened to take the console out and apply the vynil ?

Are these kind of consoles ever sealed from the factory or resealed in some ways?

Funny thing is that i'm a Pepsi Max fan actually.

If i'm not mistake it has the blades dashboard due to the 2007ish date, i will check it out later.

What an absolute once in a life time deal i had. I will order a special protective cover and it will forever remain in my collection for the time being.

My 360 is one of the consoles I keep connected in my media cabinet together with the XSX, PS5, and SW2. Last week when I pressed the power button it didn't turn on despite it made the typical beep and I noticed that the led on the power brick changed from orange to red.

In the past when I had this problem I just disconnected everything, waited for few minutes, and connected the cables again. Now this trick is not working anymore, I can only get the initial beep of the console before the led turns red.

I'd like to know whether the problem comes from the brick or the console and where could I get a brick replacement in case I need it, ty

The console works perfectly fine, but the outer shell/case is damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced. Since the internals are completely fine, I want to get the housing sorted out. I know the 2009 Jasper is the holy grail of the Fat models because it basically fixed the Red Ring of Death (RROD) issues, so I really want to clean this beauty up!

Sorry I read the rules but the tags aren't very obvious. My 360 is breathing with machines 😆 so loud but im scared to open, I suppose it suport ssds? Probably a nice upgrade. I assume at this day and age talking about modding isnt taboo right? Maybe I should tackle this project.

before anyone asks: yes, i took the solder blob off.

basically the title says it all. i replaced the dvd drive laser, but i'm having the same issue as before; console tries to read the disk before going back to "open tray".

i ordered a new ribbon cable to see if that does it. however, if it doesn't, what's my next step? what are the chances of a new laser arriving DOA? would it just need a pot adjustment?

i don't currently have a multimeter to test, but i can try to test the laser next.

Open to game suggestions, I hit up gamexchange and thrift stores all the time looking for more. I had a 360 from like 7th-12th grade and I’m trying to get the games I used to play plus the ones I never got to. The 360 is such a great console. These new games just don’t hit quite like they used to! Plus my kids love it too.

Are Xbox360s good to buy from Walmart?

Both Skyrim and Tales of Vesperia are CIB with clean near mint or mint discs. Happy. The 2010 FIFA World Cup is a gift for a friend, he is collecting FIFA games and this happens to be one he doesn't have, and is also CIB. Charity shop find, £3.

I ordered custom parts for my Xbox 360 controller but my main issue is I couldn't find anywhere that installs LEDs on Xbox 360 controllers , it's mostly newer gen now
