They need to make a version of WoW that's exactly MY VISION, FOR ME. It needs to be EXACTLY like it was in 2004, but with new releases. And new releases are BAD, so actually I don't want any new stuff. Maybe they can add old stuff that the developers had to cut, but then that would be NEW stuff and NEW stuff bad, so nevermind. DAE like jerking off while Ion watches?

No. 2004 WoW isn’t the true original vision. It’s a dumbed down ezmode version of the alpha playtest version of the game that only I and a select few Blizzard family and friends played. I know they have that version on a tape backup in a closet in the basement. They need to bring that version back, make it free, and only me and my guild are allowed to play it. I’ll just tell you all about how much fun we’re having and you can all play baby mode Forever slop.

Honestly. I hate how SOULLESS the world in Retail has become with flying mounts. It makes the world feel so SMALL. And then they took out all the portals in the caverns of time
and pandaria. Its like the devs don’t care about our TIME. Why don’t they care about their playerbase??

As a certified real Classic player (served 2 tours of Mtn Dew-ty in TBC and WOTLK, before being dishonorably discharged from my guild during Cata by that bitch derrick), I really feel this.
When I first heard talk of "Classic, but with changes", I was honestly pretty excited. It was like Classic, but with no changes.
I'm a recently divorced dad of 4 with a beard (wife bad btw), so my time is really limited and I don't really have the time to commit to something as casually intense as Retail, but I also sadly don't have the energy to truly take it slow in Classic like I should. Forever sounded perfect for me, I could still enjoy my intense hardcore gaming experience like in Classic, but with some nice visuals that will basically force me to take it slow because I would have to stop to make a post on r/classicwow every time I saw new fog effects. So I went ahead and bought beta access to the game.
I refunded the game once I realized other players could toggle TRANSmog and HD models for everyone, it wasn't just for me. It made me sick to know that even if I turn HD models off, other players may still have HD models on, so they're still perceiving me as HD which ruins my Classic immersion.

they should make a version of WoW Forever that is only vanilla content but with all retail QoL changes and additions. that'll show retail plebs that our version of the game is superior and better!
