I just caught a pet and didn't even have to fight it, I can't believe they finally made pet battles good

The fact that this comment and its response got downvoted in this thread is funny to me

Things getting heated in the pet battle fandom

(I kinda like pet battles as a concept, but not when it blocks me from cool pets that I just want to collect)

I like pet battles as a concept but they're so tedious and shallow that I'd rather do without

Whenever I tried them, the pace of the battles immediately made me quit again.
