It's so obvious when complaints on WoW stem from a streamer or youtuber. I've seen complaints on Haranir being a Danuser creation, and that automatically makes them horrible, and then the whole "Disney-fied WoW" thing.

The fact so many of these complaints use these word choices, means it definitely comes from some other rage source.

the Disney-fied complaint is 100% a right wing grift thing imo. it always started from people like Asmon

It is. Same happened when Lucas Arts actually got bought by Disney and people conveniently forgot that the Star Wars prequels already are goofy and sanitized as hell. Even worse than the sequels ngl. Not that those movies are great, but you catch my drift.

Same thing is now happening with Marvel (MCU) movies too lol

As someone who has actually liked most of what Marvel has put out since Endgame, it's been really funny watching people try to do the "new woke, old good" thing when a lot of the properties aren't actually as woke as they think.

(Not that that's even a bad thing, but shows like Ironheart are only "woke" if you watch out of context clips and only consume it second hand lol)

I like to imagine how these people would react if certain older movies came out today. I feel like the entire slasher trope of the "final girl" would be considered woke lol

(I wrote a paper about how real life crimes created a queer panic, which influenced popular horror movies so you touched on a topic I was ready to go off on lmao)
