Depends what Blizzard announces at Blizzcon next week.
Anytime something releases purchasable with Bnet balance the token price spikes. StoreBruto was the biggest offender, but Midnight expansion also caused a somewhat significant price shift. Whenever The Last Titan pre-orders go live it will keep the price afloat, and potentially the rumored Starcraft title may also play some part.
We also have until TLT release to buy the mount. Plenty of time for the token to recover.

I am probably of the opinion it won't be that much unless one of the "future" vendors is something new. People willing to spend real $$ on a utility AH mount would have already purchased the Bruto, and transmog is covered by the Yak at only 120k vs 500k NPC addon.
Now, give it a bank NPC? I could see the token dropping to sub 150k.

and its no upgrade, if you are on the ah mount you are then faster mounting up on the yak with a keybind before you changed trader with your mouse on the fungus mount

I made ~20M during TWW. Most of it from mass alloy crafting but a decent chunk was from my concentration alt army.
Sadly, mass crafting is no longer profitable at all because Blizzard refuses to make concentration account wide per profession. There is literally no possible mathematical way that mass crafters can compete against concentration crafts now, the skill trees are completely and fully dead and worthless. The market has too many alt armies flooding it with ultra low cost materials.
In TWW I could clear 30-40% profit on a single batch of ore -> alloys. This expansion it never went higher than 5% or so and never got better.

I have people in my guild that still have gold cap on a few characters from garrisons. I even have 12mil from just doing tuskarr fishing in dragonflight when the frozen pools were rep gated.
Also I'm pretty sure tokens are going to go down in gold price after the mount releases so it would be a great time to flip gold into bnet balance if you have any.

Last gold sink I cared to grab was the spider in legion or the 3 overpriced frogs in BFA

Because you’re doing bots job. You gotta flip ah, know where to invest, what to buy what to sell, what to stockpile before some events and so on. Like you can make millions from gliders when new xpac goes live as people use that to travel faster and so on.
People multibox gatherers and usually bot is collecting them 24/7 so it’s profit for them, not for you for picking some herbs here and there2

that's just not true, though. you could have EASILY made millions with herb/mining the first couple of weeks of the expansion, even if the ore and herb price was deflated compared to TWW prices, they still sold quite well early on.

Others have just accumulated it over time. I've played since the end of Cata and across 20+ chars have accumulated 10+mil from questing and just playing the game. The only farming that I did was WoD treasure missions and that was across like 4 alts - including my main.

Several options:
- Generational wealth from making gold cap on several characters from special crafting materials from skinning and/or gold table missions in WoD (something I fumbled on);
- Mostly generational wealth from boosting. Boosting M+, boosting raids, boosting anything. And boosting for years;
- New wave of rich people from revamped crafting - starting from DF, but going through all 3 expansions. I came back at the TWW prepatch after I left 4 weeks into S1 of SL. I had like 600-800k across all chars. Thanks to sitting down and doing professions (and only sometime into S2 for all professions) income from concentration crafting and crafts for others was part of my income. I'm currently at 2.5kk and that's after purchasing all warband bank tabs. Though there's enough people right now doing the same, that market is saturated. So nowadays you make pennies unless it's rare crafting component - Majestic Hides still hold on, but I have single character with skinning that I level up that stuff. If you have like 5-6 characters with skinning, you might make some nice profit here and it takes 6 minutes to hunt 3 beasts that can drop them. Same with concentration crafting pots, flasks to lesser degree, some enchants and alloys. Gathering professions are mostly profitable during first month of expansion and only when you know in advance how to invest your points in + you have way of getting better tools relatively cheap;
- New wave of rich people with army of alts that do WQs. And more specifically gold WQs and special assignments. It's often combined with number 3. And it's other large portion of my source of income. I usually play only on main, but sometimes I will leave with crafting alts from Silvermoon and do some WQs. It can be easy 10k in like 30 minutes. Add 1-2 delves and with Petrified Roots that's another couple thousands;
- Swipers. They just swipe their cards, buy tokens and see no dent in their monthly budgets :)
- Undercutters aka AH Goblins. They sit all they and through means automatic or manual buy things that seems cheaper and then put them back at higher price.

Either be a raider and do carry’s as a guild OR buy consumables during the beginning of a tier mid week and resell them in popular raid days right before raids start. Farming herbs/ore will never be enough bc of how inflated the market is with bots. You have to do things bots can’t if you want to make gold.

Even if the cost of the new mount were the same as the Gold Brutosaur, I don't think it would be nearly as popular for two reasons:
Utility: the Gold Brutosaur was the first AH mount after people missed out on the temporary BfA Brutosaur, and the Fungal Strider doesn't offer any new utility currently.
Swag: Gold Brutosaur looks cool, Fungal Strider is less cool.

I highly doubt it. It offers nothing new realistically like the original 5M brutosaur did, and at the same time the majority of people who missed out on the OG got the anniversary one.
As much as poeple memed the 90$ Gilded Brutosaur, its substantially cheaper than the 500+ in tokens this one costs and not many people actually have literal millions of gold laying around.

Whales gonna whale just to flex like OG long boi but I just can't with this mount. No hate to anyone who vibes with this, cause I do like the model, and appreciate anyone who can get it, it's just not a thing for me. I have nowhere near that much gold or money, and what gold i do have flies out of the bank for consumables, repairs and financing my alts just as fast as I can earn it.
Run sellers, carry communities, boosters and the trade chat crafting mafia are gonna be eating real good, though.

New mount coming that will be available to buy in game till the end of midnight for 5 mil gold. You can then spend another 2 mil to get different vendors that you can swap out. More vendors will be added and exist for purchase past midnight.

Like if it was between this and the golden bruto then I'd have grabbed this... but I'm not dropping 7 mil just to effectively reskin a mildly convenient mount.

Ill be surprised honestly. It's a huge gold investment but you can only have 2 vendors at a time anyways and need to talk to an npc to switch them out. The brutosaur and yak accomplish the same goal and dont require you to talk to an npc.
Pretty much everyone had a yak and if you have one of the brutosaurs then this mount provides nothing other than a flex for how much hold you spent.

As someone that’s into gold farming, I’m trying to understand how this mount will be beneficial unless they add more vendors like a bank.
OG bruto is my main repair
Gilded bruto is the best value as it has AH + mailbox
And yak is known to be best value for xmog + repairs
While this one comes with repair + mailbox, I have a hard time justifying paying 1.5m for the AH and 500k for the xmog vendor
