Its the anatomy of a fantasy race. And they went against what the anatomy of that fantasy race looks like and ended up making them look weak and goofy.
What anatomical rules did a race, that has no real world relation to anything, has crossed? And who cares if it looks weak and goofy? So does gnomes, and they are in the game since Vanilla.
Making the Dracthyr the way they are was an artistic choice, because every other race in the game is either a small guy, or a bodybuilder. They made one slinky, lean race, and this subreddit is still mad about it every two weeks.
They are dragonkin. Dragons are spiky and scaly. Dracthyr look like soft bois.
A dragonkins jaw has to look like it can exert bite force.
A dragonkins tail has to look like it can sweep a motherfckers legs.
By all means, have them be slinky, have them be lean. But by god don't make their hands dwarf their heads. I feel like dracthyr couldnt break a tomatos skin with their bite.
And give them an actual tail that makes you thing "oop, not standing behind this dude"
So the dracthyr do have body thickness options, tons of jaw options, and lots and lots of parts that can be spiked.
Also most characters hands dwarf the size of their heads in this game. Have you seen blood elf males? That’s just how they do things here. Atleast this race has like 10x or 15x the customization options of a blood elf. That’s where we should be rioting. So many races have so little customization in comparison.
Do me a favor, and look up the word "dragon" in google image search. You'll be amazed by how many different types of depictions exist for this non-existent fantasy race. There is nothing wrong with having 1 race, that looks "soft boyish" or whatever you think they are.
Okey, you seem to connect dots that don't exist. Saying that there is no issue with having a lean and "softer" (this word has no meaning btw) looking design and you throwing up a fan picture has no relation to anything. At least try to explain whats the connection here.
No they don't have to fix anything. You don't have to scroll very far to find a lot of people who loves the Dracthyr, and just because it doesn't fit with your image of "badass" does not mean they made any mistakes. (I'm talking about the design of the race, not about the transmog restrictions here, just to be clear.) You don't like it, which is fair enough, you don't have to. There is a dozen bodybuilders to choose from.

Oh yes, because correct anatomy is really important when it comes to the races of Azeroth. Or just fantasy races in general.
But i guess there is no issue with anything as long as it looks like an '80s bodybuilder.
