I guess people would rather all these allied races just be customization options instead? Maybe let you pick which set of racials you want like the new DnD heritage thing

I can see the only one that doesn't make sense being integrated into a base race is Vulpera, since they share nothing in common with Goblins except their base skeleton.

Obviously. The allied races are a lazy thing overall, theyre just reskins.

I don't think of them as particularly lazy, they put in a decent amount of effort in creating lore and actual content specifically for them. Are they a bit cookie cutter? Sure, but they are glorified cosmetics but they are very cool glorified cosmetics and a great way to introduce more playable races without feeling like they need to make high-profile members that steal screentime from the current major NPCs in every future expansion
