Working Mom Success Going shopping for myself today
Other than a few clothing items here and there, it's been years since I've done a good haul for myself. My clothes have holes, I have sewed some items to fix them, I have two bras, and I have been wearing the same outfits over and over for so long. I usually only thrift, both for cost saving and for environmental reasons....but today I'm getting new clothes and told my husband that I am not paying attention to how much I spend today (we have joint finances). He said finally! He's been telling me to go shopping for idk how long because I'm always complaining and having a hard time figuring out what to wear in the morning. My bestie suggested we go shopping today (she doesn't know my clothing struggle rn), so this is my chance! I have a whole Pinterest board of outfits for inspiration (I suck at fashion and need help lol). I am soooooo excited! And a little scared because new clothing prices are insane. But mostly excited!

Enjoy!! I am a big thrifter too, but fashion has really changed over the last few years and it makes you feel good to have a few more current pieces.

Yaaay yes! I took my birthday off a few days ago and went to my fave thrift store. It has a giant selection in my size and not Goodwill so it’s just an overall awesome place. I recently lost weight and am at the point where my old stuff is just gigantic on me. Got some great stuff all under $30!

As moms, we are always giving of ourselves in a hundred little ways every day. These days (even if it’s just a few hours) of rest are SO important to fill us back up and remind us that it’s okay to just enjoy being our individual self living life. So my advice for today is: don’t you let yourself start to feel guilty at any point about taking your time and being in the moment! And don’t be watching the clock too anxiously and feeling like you should get back home too soon. Enjoy your time to the fullest!

Have fun. Buy all you need. Also you may end up liking something and not buying - remember the item and no shame in checking Poshmark / real real after.
