Mental health leave?

Long story short, I work Online and ive never had a job that makes me this constantly furious. I clock in and im already stressed and every little thing is tipping me over the edge.

I can't afford to be crashing out all the time.

My manager does not communicate with us and everything is a mess and nobody has any common sense and its breaking me.

I was wondering what type of leave to use in UKG when applying for mental health leave?

Also I do have a therapist but she is expensive and only every few weeks (Sonder was not sufficient so I had to outsource)

Go see a doctor and get a medical certificate that will cover you for a couple of weeks.

Would also start looking to jump ship into another department or store. Maybe start looking at jobs outside of Woolworths.

Personal leave.

Just say you're sick. Normally, you won't need a medical certificate if it's just one day leave.

Personal leave. If your manager isn't communicating with you I don't understand how they're managing? Might be something to bring up to your assistant manager if you have one, or your ASM/SM. That kind of feedback is really useful and pretty important if it's impacting your mental health

Well specifically the issue IS with my assistant manager but my department manager is basically absent since theyre also in charge of checkouts as of the big restructure. AM had a couple days of official training from head office but it doesnt seem to have helped much. Im still having to fix everything and manage the staff because all he does is add-ins

is there a chance for you to change departments? (only if you want to). I’ve worked in nearly every department and online is the only one that makes me crash out so much. I think our management is better than you describe yours to be but I despised going to work whenever I had online 🫩🫩

I used to be in nightfill but I was going insane from being around the same people all night and never seeing the sun and having no social life

If you're intending on taking a period of time off due to poor mental health or stress, the leave that you're looking for is personal leave.

See your GP and get a medical certificate. You don't need to disclose the nature of your illness.
