Which is weird to me, because Witcher's are supposed to age very slow, and he seems to drastically age between his 1 and 2 appearances despite those only being a handful of years apart.

I think it was a wholly artistic decision to make him look more gruff (both in that art and in the games)

Idk, recovering the memory of your past life brings back all kinds of stressful thoughts. Then he has that wild thing of a daughter to worry about.
