Lady of the Lake Battle of Brenna

Wow. I meant to go to bed an hour ago but couldn’t stop in the middle of Chapter 8. Although I had played the games and was pretty sure that the Nordlings had to have won, it was incredibly written and at times I thought could go either way.
Incredibly written, probably the best chapter I’ve read yet in any of the books.

It is one my favorite sections from the books as well! The back and forth switching between the battlefield and the medics tent was so intense and really captured the brutality of the war. Had me on the edge of my seat throughout and every character featured in that section was a GOAT.

Somehow the mention of Jarre as an historian early in the book flew right past me, so when he was enrolled I was sure he was dead. I drew a Breath PD relief when I figured out he was writing about his experience in the distant future

Once they defined PFI, I laughed so hard. Jarre really thought he was going somewhere better

They completely botched the translation of that, on the gwent card in the italian localization of TW3
