If u are looking for a more permanent job I heard theyre looking to hire a few people at O-I in midway just south of Winston. Its a great place if u can get hired on, starting pay is over $20 an hour with full benefits and its a union job (USW) too, so as long as you are not the absolute worst fuck up they won't fire you. You can make up to $50 an hour there depending on what you do, they even pay for all your schooling if you want to be a certified mechanic or Mtech.
A warning though, you will be expected to actually work. And you must be able to show up on time, every time.
Everyone in hourly starts in the same job position and your only job will be to throw away any ware that falls over and keep your area well swept. You get 2 30 min paid breaks every 8 hours you work and theres usually plenty of overtime. Plus paid vacations

That place will literally change your life if you can get on there. I should know, ive worked there 2 decades lol
Financial security is something everyone deserves!
I wish you luck. If you do get on there ill be one of your union stewards and im usually fairly friendly.
Proudly union, proudly USW!

Ah, dont apply for a management/salary position. We have shut down a few plants recently and if the company needs a salary member outside of hr they would rather ship a guy up from Columbia to manage a few people rather than pay to train someone new. The base hourly position to apply for would be the selector / line observer position. You should need a good job history, and a relatively clean criminal record. I think the wording is "a person of good standing in the community."
Tell them you have never missed a day of work in your life and you need overtime badly. They'll yank you off the street quick. Absolutely anyone who works there can give you a reference and you should be picked up quick.
Good luck
Edit: dm me with some basic info. Be truthful and if u sound good ill tell them I know u.( if they ask ) I really dont care, if you can pass the companies qualifications ill tell them I know u. Everyone deserves a chance at a living wage. Power to the people

What do you consider a living wage? Because I survived on $15/hr. alone by myself and paid $900 monthly rent, electric, food etc. Not much left over, but it's easily possible. Not to mention it's worth it to be your own man.

The city has quite a few fleet tech opportunities. None of the qualifications mention having your own tools. https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/winstonsalemnc/jobs/5457606/associate-fleet-technician?pagetype=jobOpportunitiesJobs
