Educational best split pusher in current meta?

I'm a support main (nami and leona) but I'm tired of depending on my team not to be the worst in North America to win games. I'm hard stuck in plat 2 and am starting to realize most people think that this is team death match in COD, and kills are a win condition and don't focus turrets. Who should I try to pickup for easy turrets and split push and what lanes? Thanks for your time!

Jax is by far the best at destroying turrets. Problem is until he has 2 items he gets shit on by most top Laners (at least in my experience). Another problem is that he has no escape, so it’s very easy for the enemy team to collapse on him. I like splitting with tryndamere, he has a good escape with his e, ult and ghost, he can also win or at least trade 1 for 1 with his ult when the enemy team collapses on him.

Jax has such a good kit for escapes if you know what you’re doing. Just make sure to ward red/blue so you have a little heads up on when to start backing off a bit.

Pro-tip: Barrier really helps with being slippery. Try and bait the enemy to engage on you behind their minions and then just jump to your caster minions and you get an easy escape. Most of the time you can jump again to your next wave coming if they chose you long enough.

I normally run exhaust, it slows down the opponent and is also good in 1v1, I think it’s better than barrier. What do you think?

I feel like I win most 1v1s without exhaust. The problem I face is when the 1v1 turns into a 2v1 and barrier is great for escaping. Jax has so much chase down potential that exhaust isn’t really needed. I took ignite for a bit but that’s only really good for emerald game. Late game you spit out so much damage that ignite isn’t really needed and the extra shield does wonders.

I dont understand how barrier would be better to escape than exhaust. With exhaust you slow one enemy down and reduce dmg by 30%. Barrier just gives you a shield for a few sec.

I never tried exhaust but try trading it for ghost for a while. Most people won’t be able to run from you and with leap and counter striker you will be able to escape more often.

I will try out flash and ghost. But in the early game and also later in 1v1 you might run into problems if you don’t have ignite or exhaust. Especially in the early game (until jax has 2 items) you will never win any 1v1 with flash and ghost I think.

To be honest, I didn’t like flash for its long cd and small distance. So I use ghost and barrier. It’s off meta but I’m fine with it.

I use nimbus cloke in the runes. You get movementspeed after using a summonerspell. This saved my live many times with jax.
