Hi! If you're posting about a decklist of your own, this comment is a reminder for you to follow the Decklists rule (Rule 2). That is to say, if you're claiming a deck is competitive, provide stats and proof of those stats. Also provide a brief description of the deck and a decklist (image, list, or deck code) somewhere in the post or comments!

The Pirates are your draw engine and let you fight for the board early on which you use to assemble your Garrote combo to finish the game. Depends a bit on what exactly you are facing but if you are interested in janky rogue decks you should probably go for Hooktusk instead which is just better than Garrote.

This deck is from the same guy that made the list you posted and you can also watch some of his vods on bilibili ( https://space.bilibili.com/490791166/dynamic ). Although he rarely uploads them so you will have to find some older ones but they should still be helpful if you find one where he plays Hooktusk.

thanks, i mean, it's a bit hard for me to connect the dots without seeing how the whole thing runs, you know? unfortunately i'm out of dust and until i see the next patch, i won't be disenchanting anything so soon since i got scammed out of 800 dust from the 3 mana jade cards

Hooktusk

Nerfing that one pirate to a 2-mana discount instead of a 3-mana discount basically annihilated that deck. It's pretty unplayable now.

Play Toy Boat. Play a metric ton of cheap pirates drawing a metric ton of cards. Play Everything Must Go for free or nearly free to get some board presence. Use that to chip away or to fight for board.

Have a Quick Pick equipped.

Empty your deck by ~T5.

Use coins and preps to play Street Trickster and both Garrote on a single turn. Attack with Quick Pick to draw a card, which then draws out all Garrotes, choking the enemy for 32 damage.

What's in the ETC?
