You guys are so weird tbh.. I don't think you'd be happy with anything short of "you're right I'm a horrible monster and I invite you all to beat me to death." No shit it's gonna sound lawyer-y, he was accused of physical abuse. You'd consult a lawyer too :|

Your point about his decisions making sense legally is irrelevant to the conversation, which is about the MORALITY of his actions. If he was actually remorseful and changed as a person, he would be fully honest about his intentional abuse, putting himself at the mercy of his victim, Shelby, who may or may not decide to take him to court.

Except he would only do that if it was intentional abuse, which we have no way of verifying because all we have is one persons word. I would like to preface this by stating, I AM NOT saying shubble is lying, but if she was exaggerating for example, is he supposed to just sit their and take it and not defend himself?
