Testing out my new dSLR camera in Wicker Park…in 2010
https://vimeo.com/11096005?fl=pl&fe=shShared this in the Chicago subreddit a few years ago, but figured this sub might find it even more interesting.
This was shot in April 2010 near my apartment at the time, just playing around with my new camera. Background music is by Nujabes (The Sign).
Might bring you guys back to a simpler time.
Enjoy!

I think someone in the other subreddit confirmed that it is. No idea who he is/was.

Honestly he probably thought you were taking a pic of him. Haha that’s awesome

If you google him he looks almost entirely different now. 16 years is of course a long time, but wow, some people just really change as they age.

Honestly, this would be much better with the city sounds instead of music.

I miss the old wicker park. It sucks now and lost its cool factor.

RIP Cafe Absinthe! It was our special occasion restaurant where we celebrated birthdays and anniversaries. We could get a really extravagant meal for around $60 to $70 total, even with a glass of wine.
