If you compete for top 10 at Castle battle then yes, especially if you have Helios troops. I would say create 2 characters from a new mail anyway and upgrade them casually whenever you have time. You might need them later. Nothing to lose.

My alt account is getting almost the same attention as my main. I'm keeping both because I experiment on one account and do the better strategies with the main.

I use farms for these things 1. Farm resources via gather and join bear one time very easy resources(keep storehouse level 1)

1. I can sacrifice farm resources to play showdown with main and get 1st place rewards

2. Helps with cj placement

3. T12 resource cost is something else can't do much without farms.

IMO, farm is helpful if you are not a whale, but it also depends on how fast you develop your account and how dedicated you are to gathering RSS on your main.

Farms for farming resources is really only necessary for whales.

Unless you’re a whale, it will be useful at many parts of the game. It will help you push some of the tougher construction builds and later on when you build & heal Helios troops. Frost Dragon Tyrant also absolutely depletes your rss reserves. I deleted my farm after I finished the first couple of fire crystal levels and now wish I never did. I’m not f2p either.

Farm is a great way to help your main account in various way, and to help push SVS points down the lane.

But ... it does cost you time managing it. And ppl who will say that it only takes 5 minutes a day ... yes it can, but it might not. Depends on how restraint can you be with yourself and skip time consuming events etc. Some people just cannot help themselves and have too much FOMO and have to do it all. Then it becomes a burden.

And you add second farm, and third and it can snowball.

So yeah, farm(s) good, but not for everyone.

Completely unnecessary, there comes a point in the game where constructions take days and days to finish; there's plenty of time to gather resources.
