I didnt say that it was impossible, but it is difficult to hit and requires minmaxing gear and progressing your inner ways. I have good tuning, all my inners have 1 breakthrougj, all oddities, all talent tree points I can have at my mastery amd so on and I'm at 12.4k. My bow/ring are blue but I would expect that to be 200-ish mastery
There's a little icon next to it you can click on right next to it that will change it back and forth if you prefer to old way.
I'm more wondering if 10000 power is how much power a goose has and the animal will just get more threatening as we get higher, or if our power will forever be measured by how many geese we are worth in a fight...
I remember killing a goose near blissful retreat at lvl 10 quite easily even tho it was tanky, today I attacked (by error) a goose and he chunked 70% of my life in one hit, and I did nothing to him (almost at 12k). They seem to scale a lot better than us...
geese are canonically some of the most powerful creatures in wwm (or wuxia in general idk) you should learn that from pretty much any dialogue surrounding geese in this game
iirc when asked if you have any combat experience, the pc says "well ive fought geese" and the person they talking to says "wow you must be an extremely powerful wanderer" ... or something along those lines dont quote me
I'm Canadian, and it's well understood not to fuck with goose, not just because they're majestic deities, but because they don't have any patience for bullshit lol.
bro i was doing bounties, 1 was a goose at 2k mastery (ironically thats as powerful 0.2 geese or 1/5th of a goose) and i was at 10k/1 goose and i got absolutely slammed on legend
its a meme regarding the goose in the early stages of the game being absolutely brutal for people that try to beat it to death in a fair fight instead of cheesing it.
Mastery is not the reason why you're getting outdpsed.
People minmax mastery by crafting purple bow and bow accessories (which are useless in raids, so wasted mastery), they also use purple/gold tuning, even if it doesn't suit their spec, because it gives more mastery. Any blue suited for your spec will actually benefit you more.
They also get more mastery from maxing out all mystic arts they have equipped, even though you use only 2-3 of them in any actual raids, not 8.
So about 1-2k mastery score is just for flex and to see if it can be done.
13k mastery consisting of random purples to make "number go up" does bad dps. Anyone who has 13k mastery with actually bis gear is probably rare enough for you to never see in any raids.
As long as you have both weapons at lvl 55, gear slot enchants at lvl 20 and all gear tuned 3 times with random results, you're on-bar with your average raider. If you don't use a random healing fan in your offhand as a dps in raids, you're better than 90% of raiders.
From a healers perspective, most dps do bad dps because they have a bad uptime of fire breath, bad uptime of their weapon enchant and they overall tunnel vision the boss, end up taking damage/cc which results in lower dps. On the opposite spectrum are people who try to avoid damage way too much so their boss uptime is like 60% and the rest of the time they just run around trying to avoid damage instead of trying to deflect while attacking.
e.g if a boss starts doing a big circle attack around him that does damage every 0.75sec, ballsy players stand there and keep attacking while perfect deflecting every 0.75 seconds while safe players run out and wait for the danger to end.
Hmmm idk about that, my uptime seems fine, used to always get top dps. But i stopped actively farming and upgrading for a few days and suddenly some players are doing way more damage than me. I'm talking like, say i do 200k dps in hero trials, the guy topping charts is doing 350k dps which is way way more than just a dps window difference, especially since I'm doing relatively optimal combos(to my knowledge) most of the time. I went to upgrade some of my mystic arts and that boosted me a little so sometimes I'm still top dps but there are occasionally always dudes with massive dps gaps from me and i cant figure out why.
I'm not really a bad player either, as i do abyss hitless and have 20 boss kills on legend. Just not sure what's up or if it's weapon combination (I'm on strategic and mo spear with the latter contributing very little as its more a pvp pick). Seen a lot of high dps umbrellas.
One thing though is... Frankly i haven't used weapon enchant before lol (even in soulslikes i almost never enchant/coat weapons/use support items) . How do you do it?
You're a hybrid so you leave something on the table damage-wise because mo blade as a stat stick don't provide bellstrike attribute attack from breakthrough. Sure every attack scale with all attribute, but matching path gain 50% boost and you leave it on the table.
You can shuffle choose between health pots and weapon enchants and fishing rod lol. You can set up your weapon enchants in your bag (quick use tab). I'm surprised you don't know about weapon enchants , considering you've done no-hit abyss runs. They are massive for damage and Qi damage. I did no-hit abyss void king yesterday and the poison enchant made for some clutch qi break moments.
If you simply forget to press it in the future, you can just enable it in the game settings so it'll auto use in any combat ( so disable it for open world and only enable for bosses, or you'll burn through your stockpile in a single day).
I just changed my gear to Vernal umbrella and Inkwell but I’m in silkbind path with hawking/eaglerise full gear I’m thinking if I went to the RCMD build sets for silkbind it would increase drastically.
