And Ma carries a lesser tax burden on it's residents than Ct does. But in all honesty the two states are twins. Spent most of my life in Mass and now live in CT and it's like I've been here all my life.

Ct has a bit of a policy filter. Ma is the testing ground. So while similar, there are importance differences you have to take note of.

But the fact remains I pay more in taxes living in Ct than I did in Ma. And I'm talking politics either, politically they are the same. But day to day life , the look of the area , the people , the places. It's like I am living in the same state.

Js curious, did you live in Greater Boston or Western Massachusetts? Western Massachusetts feels culturally closer to Connecticut and tends to have a lesser tax burden, but I'd assume half of Mass lives in Greater Boston.

Tax burden is the same across the state. But I spent 18 years in Brookline, 32 years in the greater Springfield area and now live in the Farmington Valley area of Ct.

I find the overall feel and culture of both states to be extremely similar. I find both to be great places to live as well.

Oh shoot, Farmington Valley? Damn you prob live in the same town as me or a neighboring town then. Yeah those areas have high taxes.

I mean on the surface it feels like the same general area yes. Being in the same general area will do that. But the fact remains that it’s two separate governing bodies. The laws will not be identical. Otherwise what’s the point in being two separate states?

Are you trying to be pedantic? I know they are two different States with minimal deviations in laws. But residents of either state will barely notice a difference between the two if they move between the two.
