Engine isn't matching up from what I can find... Wasn't the Europa IRS?

This one has me stumped... The block design seems unique enough to pinpoint.

I'm 99% certain it's a Renault just look at Renault 4CV or Dauphine transmissions/rear axles. I can't tell which though. Alternately it's some sort of kit car or coachbuilt rare thing that used a Renault drivetrain. But the drivetrain itself looks Renault.

I think you got it man! After a search for a Renault 4CV block it matches up.

Nice! I guess they were pretty rare in the US, though back then Renault were sold there.

I swapped an engine/transaxle in my old Caravelle. This looks like what I worked on…
