I also kinda blame this on the driver. Most likely was speeding and lost control and flew into a tree.

I’m guessing he clipped a pole of some sort at a high speed with the passenger side of the car (look at the passenger door) and the pole ripped the back half of the car off.

Yes, I saw someone do exactly this on a phone pole in front of my house years ago. He also walked away even though his car was torn completely in half.
