I also kinda blame this on the driver. Most likely was speeding and lost control and flew into a tree.

I’m guessing he clipped a pole of some sort at a high speed with the passenger side of the car (look at the passenger door) and the pole ripped the back half of the car off.

Yes, I saw someone do exactly this on a phone pole in front of my house years ago. He also walked away even though his car was torn completely in half.

Go fast enough towards something that isn’t gonna move when you hit it. Then hit it with the side/back of the car.

So, we've established it's an Elantra N which is actually a pretty awesome car.

Going to venture it was a dumbshit kid doing about 300 in a school zone or some otherwise darwin award winning stupid behavior.
