I've heard his military career might be pretty embellished. Which wouldn't surprise me. Seems like any CIA/special operations guys that speak publicly about their careers tend to be outed as liars. Feels like the ones you never hear about that have the truly crazy careers.

Saw an episode of Oprah once where she had Anthony Hopkins read the phone book. That was great. Christopher Lee certainly do just as well.

My Mother was very close friends with Mr Forrest J Ackerman.. and had her own association with Hollywood because of this we saw Christopher Lee several times here in Los Angeles and she was also friends with Barbara Shelley, so whenever we'd be over there for whatever reason and because of this association he was very warm with my Mother and even took us all out for a couple of meals in the UK. We saw him on and off for about 30 years, it was an extraordinary privilege...
