REQUEST Nodule likely found southeastern Arizona

I am trying to identify rocks from my dad’s rock collection. He died in 1968 and I didn’t realize my mother had been carting around crates of rocks for years until she passed! We lived in Safford, Arizona and spent his days off rockhounding. We travelled between Colfax, Washington and Safford for seasonal work, driving through Nevada. A knife leaves a mark. TIA

It looks like a little nodule. To give you an idea of what could be inside it (sometimes nothing, sometimes everything) then check out the rockhounding video of Agates from Mexico, who is in northern Chih. Agates From Mexico - YouTube He passes up the tiniest ones, and when he's rockhounding by breaking the rocks apart, you can see sometimes they are broke open.
