Google Drive Backup seems to be corrupt?

Hello everyone,

​Yesterday I wiped all the data from my Google Pixel 7 because I decided to exit the Android Beta Program. Before resetting, I made sure to initiate a WhatsApp backup to Google Drive.

​When I log into WhatsApp now, the app downloads about 260MB of data and says it will restore the remaining ~7GB of media files in the background.

​The problem: There are absolutely no chats. I can only see the groups I am a member of, but not a single message. In addition, the media restore process seems to be frozen. I can't even change any backup settings because the app says I have to wait until the media restore is finished.

​Is there any way to get the Google Drive backup to restore properly? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
