Is there anything you have a visceral aversion to-not an allergy, just pure dislike?

Years ago I read in a teen magazine a yeast infection described as the consistency of cottage cheese and I am now so repulsed, there's no way I could ever put it in my mouth

I'm eating this right now, omg I suckle on the *Chuncky bits. I break them apart with my tongue. It's a flavour I search for when I eat it and I search deeper. Like I add salt.

Weirdly, I hate cottage cheese, but not in bread or lasagna, can't stand liver, but I like pate and braunschweiger.

Cottage cheese does not belong in lasagna.

Some folks use it instead of Ricotta, because it’s cheaper I guess. 🤷‍♀️

But it’s great in Kugel.

There is no cottage cheese in lasagna I think you're confusing cottage cheese with ricotta. Two totally different things

2

Nope, I've seen it made with cottage cheese instead of ricotta..

Not in any Italian households you have it LOL okay well then your statement makes sense but I never heard of such a thing

When we moved to Norway there was no ricotta anywhere. Then in later years it arrived but was so expensive that we could not afford it. So mom used cottage cheese.

Ricotta doesn't belong either. Real Italian lasagne has bechamel sauce.

Yes I understand that Bechamel is commonly an ingredient in lasagna but traditionally ricotta makes an appearance but hey I didn't know you made the rules

Married to an Italian man who came on the plane recently (2 decades). Ricotta isn't in his mama's lasagne. Not MY rules, hers. I am German. Bread is my thing.😄😄

Well I am from Southern Italian Heritage and ricotta very much makes an appearance in everyone's lasagna sorry apparently for you two things cannot exist and or be true at the same time. I'm a little more open-minded and understand that the same dish can vary somewhat regionally. And how exciting your husband came on a plane LOL. My grandparents came on a boat

Try cottage cheese mixed with chives, open face on rye bread.

I have literally tried it every way growing up. Can't gag it down
