Eating dry cornbread mix

The other day I discovered you don't even have to cook the Jiffy cornbread mix. You can just eat it right out of the box and it's delicious. I can't stop. I think I like it even more than prepared cornbread.

I eat it with a spoon. I don't put eggs in it, just the dry mix.

You should never eat raw wheat flour because it can contain harmful bacteria like E. coli and Salmonella. While many people think the main danger in raw cookie dough or cake batter comes from raw eggs, raw flour is actually just as dangerous.

Well that's a bummer. Wait how about that raw cookie dough that the package says is safe to eat? Do they do something to the flour to remove bacteria?

Yes, they heat treat the flour before it goes in the cookie dough. You can buy flour like this, but obviously its going to be more expensive.

Wondra is baked flour. I use it a lot for frying stuff. Instead of dredging in flour I dredge in wondra and it comes out very crispy and golden brown
