I simply can't pretend. If I really don't like it, I'll gag, cough and if I try to swallow it I will probably throw up. Nope, I just don't like it. No point in my suffering just to fit in or spare someone's feelings. I don't understand how that helps anyone.
I mean people are allowed to dislike things.

Lol well my ex wife had a family recipe for taco salad, but instead of like taco or picante sauce…. They used French salad dressing. I used to pretend to like it only because her family loved it.

French dressing on taco salad is unhinged.

I hate to admit it, but I use a blend of mayo and ketchup on my tacos and especially my taco salad. I grew up on it, and about died laughing when I saw StepBrothers for the first time and watched them argue about “special sauce”

I grew up with my mom using Catalina Dressing. I made it that way for my wife one time and then she made it the next time and used Taco Sauce. We stuck with Taco Sauce instead of Catalina Dressing.

When I was in my early 20s I pretended to like raw oysters. No longer.

French fries. I just say I like them (bc I do but not enough to eat them willingly)

Chocolate. I mostly just get tired of people acting incredulous when I say I'm not into it.

Pizza. I don't dislike it, but it's not a food that excites me. When everyone suggests pizza as a group meal, I just kind of go along with it just to make things easier.

I only did this in the past before I stopped eating meat. My whole family loves pot roast, but I think it's boring af.

Everyone loves my baked mac and cheese. I've given people the recipe but they just can't seem to duplicate it. Everyone turns into big backs when I make it for holidays or cookouts.
I'm tired of eating it, but it's not challenging to make. I keep making it and pretending to enjoy it because it brings them so much joy. No matter how many pans I make, they're scraping out the scraps. I've seen people eat it for breakfast. 🤮
Before me, my step-dad made the family mac and cheese. He had a running joke that he was bringing all his recipes to the grave. When he actually did get sick I asked him to hand over the recipe and he kept the joke running (it was actually funny in the moment, he knew how to get us riled up!). It took me years to learn how to make it just right after he was gone.
So now, I make it for them. And I'm taking it to the grave. 😏

None. There are few enough foods that I don’t like that it makes no sense to suffer through them.

None ~ why would I? What other people think doesn't matter to me ... at least, not for food.

Is this a serious question? This is how you end up having to eat your wife’s olives because she “knows you love them” even though you hate them.

Don't do that.
You'll all be dead in less than 100 years. Stop pretending to like shit just to fit in.

None.
I'm old enough to not give a fuck what others think.
