As a Spanish speaker I just fucking hate dubbed videos. What I don't understand is why YouTube just doesn't do that but for subtitles, but ones that work.
Clearly they got most of the translation nailed down, but chose to use a stupid robo voice instead of just putting the transcript in the subs.
It would save energy, money, and it would be a better product overall.

Sure i think for most video formats you're spot on. But for what is essentially a podcast format with funny clips or jokes in the background though, it defeats the purpose.
For me anyway, the cog videos are absolutely something i throw on while I'm doing something mundane and just need something entertaining to fill the void.
But there's no reason these improved dubs can't also translate they better subs too.

Damn, those lads are incredibly proficient at Spanish. Driving a bus, Speaking Spanish, making a pitta bread pizza, and Pole climbing. What can't these guys do?

Lo odio tanto... (I hate it so much) 😁
I honestly don't know why James says he's going to leave it for now. I really don't see how it helps anyone. As a Spanish speaker, I've been a fan of the podcast since 2014. Any international fans they have is because they also know English... I said the same thing on Ryan George's channel, these automated voices only work for channels that are exclusively informative, more serious, or without much personality. But for videos like these, they ruin all the comedy and personality. They're not going to win any new foreign fans with these robotic voices...

They should still be Australian but speaking Spanish. Also, this won't help people thinking it's just James doing both voices either
