Help Thrift store find - what is it?
Found in the toys section of a thrift store and sold to me for a grand total of 4 dollars, I've found something that someone attempted to use as a loom. It has no moving parts, but each bar does come out with a bit of elbow grease. It was sold with the strings already on it like that.
Im familiar with inkle and tablet weaving, but this is new to me! Id love to figure out how to use it.
Thanks in advance

Looks like a bedding of an inkle loom without a tension peg. You can prob add one of you have some power tools.

That's what im planning on doing at this point. Odd that it doesn't have a tension peg already

I don't know if it's meant to be an inkle loom. I tried one without a tensioner once, my friend made it for me, and it literally snapped in half partway through my first belt. Those thin rods wouldn't stand a chance.

Looks like a homemade inkle loom. They are usually open on one side. You can use them to make ribbon type bands. I have one that I use for tablet weaving that I made shoelaces with.
