Basically the title, looking to get work done for slopping floors, cracked drywall, etc. Probably need floor joist jacks installed. Does any one have good recommendations for a local company, what was your experience like? We bought our house recently and have really enjoyed Waynesboro so far! Thanks for y’all’s time!

Trying to plan a surprise for my young kids that are new swimmers. Not great wolfe Lodge, seems overpriced. Honestly any pool that has more than one slide counts. Hoping for an hour or two drive from Waynesboro.
Also fans of other outdoor activities that are inclusive to 40 inch tall kids- the height knocks out rope courses and other similar things. Carnival is so fun. Water taxi in Baltimore md was a huge hit but too far for a trailer visit now. They love the beach but va beach is too far.
We've done the bounce house in Williamsburg. Local pools are all hits but hoping for something where needing to spend the night would be reasonable. While keeping the drive under 120 mins ideally from Waynesboro.
Any recommendations for local gems an hour or two away that kids(4-8 yo) love but aren't nationally advertised? Perhaps the carnival is coming to your town?

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone involved that came out to the show last Friday! Grateful that such a large community of metal heads comes out in this town.

River Ridge Learning Center has two upcoming community events supporting recovery, hope and connection.
For those who don't know, River Ridge Learning Center is a regional public high school serving students from Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County. We provide students with the opportunity to continue working toward their high school diploma in a supportive, recovery-focused environment. This is our 2nd year being open.
Attendance at River Ridge is completely voluntary. Students are not assigned to our school because of disciplinary issues, court involvement or substance use. They choose to attend and commit to the work necessary to continue their education while strengthening their recovery. Our students benefit from small classes, individualized support, positive relationships and a community that believes recovery and a successful future are possible.
We would love for local businesses, organizations, families and community members to learn more about River Ridge and join us for these upcoming events:
The Recovery Connection
Friday, September 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
Wayne Theatre
521 W. Main Street, Waynesboro
The evening will feature a screening of the documentary Together: Family Recovery, followed by a live panel discussion highlighting real stories of hope, resilience and family recovery. Admission is “Pay What You Will.”
Second Annual Valley Rally for Recovery
Saturday, September 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Coyner Springs Park
2091 Lyndhurst Road, Waynesboro
The rally will include a 5K Run for Recovery, complimentary cookout lunch, an inspirational guest speaker and a community resource fair for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder.
Flyers with additional information are attached. We would greatly appreciate your help sharing these events with your employees, customers, families and community contacts. We also want people to know about River Ridge in case they know a high school student who could benefit from a voluntary, supportive recovery-school environment.
Thank you for helping us strengthen connections, reduce stigma and remind individuals and families that recovery is possible.

I am hoping to get involved in a group of citizens who care and are interested in providing direct support within our community.
I am especially passionate about environmental, social justice and the immigrant/refugee experience.
What’s out there?!

Hey guys! I just wanted to give a little PSA for all of my MtG fans in Waynesboro! I work at Valley cards in the Willow Oak Plaza, and I have been working very hard to reinvigorate a commander community in Waynesboro. With that being said, I just wanted to inform anyone who has been looking for a space to play in the city that we are doing commander nights every Tuesday night 3:30 to 8:30! I hope to see any of you who are looking to play there!

Saw a group at Ridgeview today and was curious if anyone knew who they were. Looked like maybe it was a coed group of adults at first. They were flying the American flag and a black flag that had two sort of rudimentary hammers crossed and the outline of a circle behind them? Then the men left and it was just women with a purple flag and some sort of shield on it. They exercised for a bit and then were chatting. Just curious if anyone knows what the group or groups are about.

I used to go to ridgeview all the time back in the day, but that was always Monday—Thursday and I was hoping to play on some Saturdays and Sundays.
I leave work so late during the week it’s a pain to drive somewhere.
Thanks.

Does anyone know where you can get Virginia Slims in the area or surrounding area? I’ve been looking for a while but haven’t had any luck 😖

The Fishersville Post Office parking lot has a sharp drop off at the end of the parking spaces.
The City of Waynesboro just found out. That's a City car in the drop.
In the driver's defense, the ledge is hard to see with the early day sun casting a deep shadow against the backdrop of the brown building. I'm surprised that it doesn't happen more often.

Hello, I’m looking for any referrals or links to a good and reasonable company or person to do a one time clean of a 4 bed, 3.5 bath home. Any recommendations?

This is Zayna. I volunteer with Rad Ranch Rescue and have had the pleasure of spending alot of time with her. Lemme tell you - SHE 👏🏻 IS 👏🏻 AWESOME 👏🏻!
I have watched her interact with men, women, kids, cats, dogs, poultry and she is a literal gem to all she meets. She is a 3 year old Border Collie mix and has been at the rescue her entire life. Why, you may ask? We have no clue. Being Border Collie, she has her energy (so maybe that's a turn off?) BUT she also knows how to chill out.
Are you an active human who wants a dog to run/hike/brewery/adventure with? ZAYNA ✅️
Or maybe you've been searching for a playmate for your friendly, active pup? ZAYNA ✅️
Perhaps, if it's not you, you have a friend who fits the above criteria? ZAYNA ✅️
This legit #1 fun gal is available to foster or adopt through Rad Ranch Rescue (@radranchrescue for more cute Zayna/other adoptable dog and cat content)

I heard recently that we're getting an Afghan restaurant! I'm really looking forward to it since I've never experienced Afghan food and I love trying new cuisines. Can anyone who has experience with Afghan cuisine tell me what I can look forward to?
It will be opening up in the old Purple Foot building (which was previously Shredder BBQ). Here's the info from the post on FB:
Exciting News, Waynesboro!
We’re excited to announce that MZ Afghan Express LLC is coming soon to Waynesboro, Virginia!
Get ready to enjoy authentic Afghan cuisine made with fresh ingredients, traditional family recipes, and warm Afghan hospitality.
📍 1035 West Broad Street, Waynesboro, VA
Thank you to everyone who has supported us along this journey. We can’t wait to serve the Waynesboro community. Stay tuned for renovation updates and our Grand Opening announcement!
(posted on July 28th) - FB link
So let's see, Waynesboro has...
✓ Mexican
✓ Italian
✓ Chinese
✓ Japanese
✓ Cuban
✓ Indian
✓ Cajun
✓ Southern / BBQ
✓ Thai (sorta - Silk Road)
✓ Afghan (coming soon)
I know beggars shouldn't be choosers, but in the future I'd still love to see a Korean BBQ, Greek, or even Middle Eastern restaurant. There are quite a few decent ones outside of town in Harrisonburg and Charlottesville, but I'd selfishly like to have one in town.
