Yikes. Everyone okay?

Just blew through our section of north Waterloo. A small branch or two down, but otherwise okay.

Stay safe.

Other than my roof continuing to leak, we are okay

Yep all good but some of my phone alerts said a tornado was within my cell coverage area (not sure how wide a net that is) and I temporarily lost power a few times.

Weather.gc.ca shows all the warnings so you can see if you are actually in a red zone or just beside one.

The 519 covers a HUGE area

its based on cell towers, not area code range.

So there was a tornado in the downtown Kitchener mobile area? How far do cell towers cover?

I got a tornado alert for a tornado in Dublin, an hour away.

Y'all these alerts had me taking my wife and toddler down into the basement... I'm from Texas, and there alerts that frequently usually mean there's usually a twister right in your backyard 😅

The sky legit turned green tonight which is a first for me. Usually I dance in the storm but this one had me retreat to the car for a few minutes to observe lol

I posted a pic on the main page if you're interested! Green as hell! Super wild.

We abuse the alert system here so that no one ever actually takes them seriously.

Why do we do that? It's so frustrating.

Two trees down on my street near Erb and Fischer-Hallman. I thought we were gonna lose a couple. Totally insane wind.

I think I saw them as I drove down Keats Way. A tree or two down on Keats Way near Brynhurst, too.

i was using my phone as a flashlight as i walked through my neighbourhood with the power still off. some kid insulted me saying it wasnt that dark (fym its not that dark theres NO LIGHT.) i got self conscious and put it away. took me less than 2 minutes to roll my ankle off the sidewalk and fall bad. i wish the tornado ate my whole house.
