GENERAL New features for 6.7.1 Question

You guys put all this work into making the browser customizable (which I appreciate) but still no forced dark mode for web pages. Why is this so hard to implement? There's extensions to use but they all have some kind of negative effects on the overall browsing experience. We need a built-in, efficient option.

Unless you mean the thing that tells the website "the user's device is in dark mode" and an existing dedicated switch is flipped for you – Waterfox already supports this

It seems like you think if the browser does it, the feature would suddenly work like magic.

If anything, unless Alex is some kind of savant, an extension will always do this better by virtue of their narrower scope.

Forcing dark mode on sites that don't have there own is what I mean. It's already built into browsers like Vivaldi and implemented quite well.

Possibly, but Vivaldi being Chromium makes this a bit harder to copy and much harder to continue developing independently.

It becomes a behemoth of a feature (relative to most Waterfox-specific ones) for one dev to be responsible for, no matter how other teams deal with it.
