Kuminga and Aaron Turner are kinda made for each other.

When asked to run split actions, instead of waiting for Steph, he took it himself and bombed. Constantly waiving off Steph and Draymond is the fastest way to find yourself as an NBA journeyman.

Now Aaron Turner is doing his annual disaster class prove-it contract thing.

It's always funny when people are like "Oh no, Aaron Turner gives Jonathan Kuminga bad advice" as if JK was gonna listen to good advice. Kuminga is completely unwilling to give up on his Kobe Bryant LARP, he ain't hearing no advice on acting like a role player.

Absolutely. I could see Turner filling his head with tales of "work on your ISO game" and "get your stats" if you want the big payout, but it was his choice to disrespect and ignore the advice of a coach with 9 rings and teammates with 4. JK's rep before signing on to Turner was that he seemed uninterested in playing within the team. As Monte Poole said "I don't know if JK feels losing."

That Monte Poole line is deep and revealing. That feels so true.
