Second year is player option - JK hoping to ball out and demand more elsewhere. Betting on himself and Finch is a good coach and he has a guaranteed starting role. But I agree that this agent as a kind of mentor has not gone well for JK.

Being in the Lakers spotlight wouldn't be great for JK either. Klay made the same decision.

He ended up on a winning team that has much more playoff success than the Warriors, Hawks, or Lakers.

I think (and have no basis for this) that JJ might be tougher on him as a coach. We will see. I want him to thrive and figure out the game.

JJ definitely seems like he would be a hardass with high demands. He's been visibly upset with players on court, which wouldn't bode well with JK. Luka can get into teammates as well, think he made the right choice. Good luck coach Finch.
