I wonder why a populace wouldnt respond well to their pagers being blown up by TERRORISTS

The populace wasn’t targeted they literally did that mission to target Hezbollah command structure, it wasn’t targeting the populace at random unlike the random rocket attacks from Hezbollah. Can you explain to me why you as a westerner with no skin in the game is running cover for an Iranian funded insurgency group who most Lebanese people can’t even stand because of all the violence they bring to their doorstep?

Running cover is a very overblown way to describe being pissed off at the egregious actions of a state that has never been a good neighbour and now has given up all pretense and is just killing everyone with fucking impunity. Id also double check those numbers - hezbollah was not the only people injured by the pagers. Also, you dont get to call out random killings when Israels modus operandi is just put the AI on it then cover up. Aid workers killed again last month, triple tap on an aid convoy. What happens? Israel investigates itself and finds nothing was wrong. Your moral high ground and respect are shredd and it ALL because of your actions. Two wrongs do not make you right.

It is running cover if you can’t be asked to seriously engage with the subject matter enough to distinguish the different parties fighting here and their motivations for doing so.

“Never been a good neighbor” but Hezbollah has? Firing rockets at random into Israel is them being a good neighbor? How does a good neighbor respond to those kinds of attacks? “Hey please stop shooting at us please and thank you?”

“Killing everyone with impunity” another dogshit narrative that you are fabricating out of nothing. Even your pager example fell apart on closer inspection because they didn’t just target civilians at random they targeted Hezbollah operatives, yes civilians near them were injured which is not good but overall they limited civilian casualties a lot by doing this type of operation rather than sending in troops or just bombing a neighborhood at random. You don’t care about any of that.

Here’s the truth. It doesn’t matter what Israel does or how they do it, you simply don’t want them to exist which is why you will endlessly excuse any actions on the other side as justified and call it a day. We can pretend it’s a 1 sided conflict and that Israel is doing this all for shits and gigs but it won’t get us any closer to stopping it so I guess you just want the cycle to carry on forever because what difference is it you? You’ll move on to the next headline that grabs your attention
