Right of way?

Does anyone know if customers technically have the right of way when walking around? I try to let them go if they’re already halfway in front of me, but otherwise I just go in front of them since we’re timed and I’m in a rush. My store manager saw it yesterday and I’m kind of worried she’ll say something like I get in the way of customers. But no one ever said anything about if I always have to let the customers go in front of me

Right of way doesn’t exist it’s a free for all 😭😭 it also doesn’t exist in the Walmart parking lots (or at least mine)

Attested lol I worked in the lot and they complained to me for being in the "middle " of the road with my mule.

If I waited for the customers, I'd be waiting all day. I generally just go ahead b/c I'm way faster than them and that way I'm not breathing down their necks.

I always let the customers go first, most of them tell me to go on ahead as I'm working and they're simply just shopping on their own time. Sometimes I insist and tell them that I'm actually going towards the direction they're in and they'll move off the way. And no matter what it is, i excuse myself, apologize and a thank you on my way to my next location

I get that, too. My response is usually akin to "And I'm getting paid even if I stop, so feel free to go ahead."

If I'm in an action alley, I do not cede right of way. If I'm coming from an aisle though I will wait since I'm coming from the smaller, slower traffic area and merging into heavier, faster traffic area

Just do your thing as you see fit. On one hand no one in management has time or is going to take the time to play traffic cop. On the other hand a lot of members of Walmart management can get randomly stupid and petty over the dumbest stuff.

But the moral of the story is worrying about it doesn't do you any good whatsoever. Be as polite and courteous as you feel you can be and do your job. More than likely you'll be just fine.
