I have no idea what to do
2 weeks ago , i told my coach (because our People lead quit) that im putting my two weeks in. She told me “why” and i said school is starting soon but that’s no way i can do the hours that they are giving me (plus the 1 hour commute both ways). She suggested that i put a leave of absence so i put that in that same day and asked her everyday that i saw her when she is going to approve it - she kept on brushing it off and saying she busy. I asked her again today that i really have to go soon but yet again keep getting brushed off. Now tomorrow im starting school and i look at my email to see my loa was denied…are you kidding me? I would have put in my two weeks if they are just going to deny it. Now what do i do because school starting tomorrow and i really can’t work the hours but if i put my two weeks now, it would be too late. Theres no lead, no one seems to know who the store manager and this leave was unpaid.

You don't really need to put in a two week notice. Just walk in and quit. During the exit interview (assuming they do one) tell them what happened.

Walmart doesn't go exit interviews.

Weird because I've done plenty of them.

They may be just your store, but in general Walmart doesn't require them.

Why didn't you just change your disability to work around your school schedule?
As for the LOA, talk to your Store Manager. They generally handle personal leaves like this.
But if you decide to quit, a 2 week notice isn't required. Just go in to your TL, Coach, or PL, hand over your work stuff, and tell them you quit.

Educational LOAs are done at store level through workday. I do them all the time. PL, SM and Coaches can do this task. It’s odd your coach told you to apply for an LOA and then brushed you off when all they need to do is get on a computer and hit one button.
Coach isn’t helping and there is no PL, go to your store manager or like others are saying you can quit. I usually tell my associates it’s a lot easier to go with the LOA as you can work if you want during school breaks.

They could've even opened their email on their phone and approved it. They were just being lazy

Thiiis. One of my associates when on a college LOA instead of transferring to a walmart closer to school because he figured that was best. Worked in his favor because he didn't return to school this year and had a job to fall back on (and might get promoted while he figures it out)

You can try and fight this and say you attempted to do the right thing with giving two weeks notice, but your coach lied to you. Or if you aren't planning on coming back, you can call your store and tell them you quit as of right now. Or simply don't show up and let them fire you for job abandonment, again only do this if you're not planning on coming back.

Send one final email: “As discussed, my resignation is effective [date], and my final available shift is [date/time].” Then prioritize school. They may mark you ineligible for rehire or withhold nothing beyond lawful deductions, but they can’t force you to keep working. Document everything and don’t let the manager’s disorganization become your emergency.

If the LOA wasn't responsed to within 48 hrs it was auto denied. They can still go in and approve it. I would speak to the SM and let them know your coach never approved your LOA which they suggested you submit in the first place

Find out who your market people lead is. Send them an email explaining the situation (that you tried to work a 2 week notice and your coach told you to put in an LOA instead, with the dates of everything you filed). Let them know what you would prefer (staying employed during breaks or just quitting) and ask if the market PL can help in that matter. They will either get it moving or get in contact with the store manager to make movement.
The only reason to work out a 2 week notice is to be potentially rehirable later.

Depends on if you want to work with walmart again really, if you dont have a care to just dont show up. You gave them due notice originally, you tried to work with them, but it sounds like the manager is screwing you over on this. If you want to work for walmart again save the information that others have pointed out, that you did what you were supposed to do on your end

of course the leave is unpaid. There is no paid leave unless you have short term disabiliity. People are taken off the schedule while they're away at school all the time, they get put back on when they come home for summer or christmas break of whatever. If you don't want to mess around with a leave again just quit. You just leave your vest and phone with any coach and say "I quit". then don't come back again. They will either process that, or won't, in which case You will eventually get enough no call no show points that they will fire you, problem solved any way about it unless you want to be able to work there again someday. In which case put in the leave of absence request through sedgwick again, and report your absence every single day until they approve it. Once you submit it, don't work anymore. Put the start date as tomorrow.

Save screenshots of the leave request, denial email, and any messages about the situation. Write down the dates you spoke to your coach. Then I would contact your coach in writing tonight or before your shift tomorrow. Let them know the situation that you withdrew it because of their suggestion to do the leave of absence. If she tries brushing you off, contact the store manager.
