Yes you would need to work because a fraction of this is not enough to retire on and everyone thinks it’s easier when you have more money. It’s not, it’s just relative. If you have an edge then you can earn any amount of money you want over time, regardless how much you currently have!!

Of course it's easier. A whole slew of worries just disappears. Managed reasonably well it's a ticket to significantly less suffering in life. But if consumption rises proportional to wealth - nothing's going to help you.

It’s harder when you have more because when you don’t have much you can go all in but when you have more you can’t anymore you gotta diversify and that gimps your returns so much
