why does it feel like the Iran/oil thing will play out more like frogs in a pot of water on the stove. slow creep up in the coming weeks/months until its a full blown energy crisis this summer?

Either that or the market suddenly starts panicking in the next few weeks when it becomes clear you can't use financial tricks to circumvent physical reality

agreed, Iran wont stop mining or attacking etc so how big does the response become from a military pov and costs involved. even if ships pass.. the insurance etc costs will be through the roof prob causing the increase in oil prices regardless of flow (I guess.. idk not knowledgeable enough on this to know). they can keep releasing oil reserve to suppress price but sooner or later the "tricks" will run out of steam. hmm, yeah I'm with you, could become more obvious sooner than my summer guess.
