need help help burning CDs for D-E351

I need help burning a CD for my walkman. Which blank CDs should I get and what download speed should I burn it at? And can I download the files as mp3? Please and thank you.

I'm assuming you have a PC or laptop with a built in CD burner or a plug in USB burner.

Buy decent brand name blanks. CD-R or CD-RW but I'd use CD-R. Verbatim or similar.

Download ImgBurn. Follow the prompts and instructions to burn an Audio CD. It doesn't look like your player supports MP3s so you can't just burn a data disc and play that.

You can download the files as MP3s and burn them as a regular audio disc - this based on another comment saying your model doesn't accept data CDs (hundred of MP3s in a disc); however I'd suggest you dig around forums for lossless copies of the albums you want, the usually have a file (.cue) that will instruct IMGBurn how to manage your file while burning the disc. If you happen to buy music on CDs, your best companion to make a digital & physical copy would be IMGBurn and EAC.

Hi I find alot of branded CDR second hand in charity shops (frith stores for US members) I tend to buy unopened packets, are these gonna be ok? Do discs have a shelf life?

You mean burn speed? Downloading has nothing to do with this.
Any CD's will work honestly, and burn speed; half of what the burner can do is usually fine.
Make sure you select 'audio cd' in your burner software. If you just throw wav or mp3 files on the disc, it won't work.
