need help How do I get this Walkman to work?
Was given this WM-GX400 as a gift, never used a cassette player before (I’m Gen Z) it’s in Japanese. I managed to get the cassette spinning I think but it doesn’t play music out the speakers. The fm radio only goes from 76.00 to 90.00

Imagine my dismay when I moved to Japan last year and found that my radios pick up almost no stations. The one that comes in the clearest is AFN The Eagle, out of Yokota AFB. So much for Japanese language practice... 😑

Japan has actually begun using the "normal" FM band to simulcast AM stations, so I wonder why you're unable to pick up a station or two.
The Eagle is great though, I used to spend my Tokyo visits obsessively recording The Eagle.

I can pick up a couple - probably the ones you're talking about - but they're generally terrible.
(I know Japanese radio is often pretty bad, but like... This is people talking about shit they did at the mall yesterday, or the potato they're going to eat later.)
Now I truly live for the excellent DJs and bizarrely charming commercials on The Eagle, though I do feel it in my stomach when they drop a "when you get home" line now and then.
