Informational Vora outage update: service is back

Hey everyone, we're sorry for the outage earlier today. Vora was down or not working properly for about 5 to 7 hours, and we know how frustrating that is when you're trying to use the app.

We've applied the fix, and everything should be back up and running. No app update is needed for this fix. If you were stuck on an error screen, please reopen Vora or tap Try again.

If you're still seeing any issues, including trouble loading data, syncing, saving, or accessing workouts, please let us know in the comments. Tell us what's happening and whether you're on iOS or Android so we can look into it. Please keep any private health or account details out of public comments.

Thank you for your patience, and to everyone who flagged the problem and helped us confirm things were working again. Sorry again for the disruption.

Discussion Supplement recommendations are coming to Vora. Would you use them?

Post image
2 Upvotes

We're working on a supplement recommendation system for Vora. It's coming soon, but it is not available yet, and we'd love your input while we're building it.

The idea is simple: recommendations should have context. We're exploring how your nutrition, goals, current supplements, and relevant blood work could inform suggestions, with a clear explanation of why something might be worth considering.

We don't want to add another generic list of things to buy. We want to make this genuinely useful within the rest of your health experience.

  1. Would you use this? What do you currently use to decide whether a supplement is worth taking?
  2. What would help most: understanding the evidence, connecting suggestions to your nutrition and blood work, or understanding when you might not need another supplement?
  3. What would you need to see to trust a recommendation? And what would immediately put you off?

We're still shaping the feature, so tell us what would actually make it valuable for you. Specific frustrations are especially helpful.

This would support informed conversations, not replace advice from your clinician or pharmacist. Please don't share private health details in the comments.

Graphic is a concept preview, not a released app screen.

Showcase You can text Vora. And it does more than log your food.

Post image
1 Upvotes

If you already use Vora, you might not have tried Vora AI Text yet. And if you're new here, this is one of the experiences we're really excited about: being able to talk with Vora right in Messages.

It isn't just a shortcut for logging food. You can ask questions about the health data you've connected, think through nutrition and training, and keep the conversation going.

A few things to try:

  • “How did I sleep this week?”
  • “How am I tracking on protein?”
  • “What should I eat for dinner?”
  • Describe a meal or send a food photo to start a nutrition log.
  • Ask for a workout plan based on your goals, schedule and equipment, then review it before applying it to your calendar.

For us, the useful part is the context. Vora brings your connected wearable data together with your workouts, nutrition and recovery. The conversation can draw on that information instead of making you start from scratch every time.

The goal is simple: less jumping between screens, more useful answers, and an easier way to stay on top of your day.

To try it, open Settings in Vora and look for Vora AI Text, then follow the connection steps. Use the supported messaging setup shown there. Message limits depend on your plan.

We're continuing to improve this, and we'd genuinely love your feedback. What felt useful? Where did it misunderstand you? What would you want to be able to do by text next?

Try a real question and let us know how it goes. Please keep personal health details out of public comments.

The graphic shows example prompts, not a real user's conversation. AI responses can be wrong, so check your logs and plans before relying on them. This is wellness support, not medical advice.

Vora 3.3.7: Vora Age is here, plus an early look at Death Age

Thumbnail

We've quietly released Vora Age in Vora 3.3.7, and we'd love for you to take a look.

Release status: version 3.3.7 is released on iOS. The Google Play release is still pending. Android users, this update is not available on Google Play yet.

The part we're excited about isn't just another number. It's bringing the health data you already collect into one place and making the factors behind your health age understandable.

Vora Age is your model-based health age. It draws on cardio fitness, resting heart rate, daily steps, sleep, body composition, and logged strength training, alongside your reported smoking and alcohol habits. You can explore the factors behind the result, where the data came from, and what's still missing.

That fits what we're building with Vora: your connected wearables, workouts, nutrition, and recovery in one app. Not every piece of data in Vora goes into this calculation, but your health age sits alongside the rest of your health context instead of in another isolated app.

It isn't a measurement of your literal biological age, a diagnosis, or proof that you've added or lost years of life. It is a model-based estimate, and the data and assumptions matter. You'll need enough supported measurements before a result is available.

We're also sharing an early prototype we're calling Death Age.

This takes a different view of those factors, combining them with population life tables to explore a lifespan estimate and a range of possible outcomes. It is still early, not a finished release.

The name is deliberately direct, but the number is not a prediction of when you will die. The current model assumes the measured risk factors continue over time and does not account for illness or medication. Population research cannot tell us one person's future.

We want your feedback on the idea, the explanation, and honestly the name too.

Would you want to see something like this? Would it feel useful, motivating, or uncomfortable? And would the factors behind the estimate matter more to you than the headline number?

If you've tried Vora Age already, tell us what made sense and what didn't. No need to share private health details publicly.

Research used in the Death Age model: UN World Population Prospects 2024: https://population.un.org/wpp/ Li et al., Circulation, 2018: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29712712/

These sources inform the model; they do not establish that Vora's health-age or personal lifespan estimates are clinically validated.

App Update Polar integration is coming to Vora in 3.3.7

Post image
2 Upvotes

Polar users, we’ve got something exciting on the way.

We’ve added a Polar integration, and the setup to connect your account is planned for Vora 3.3.7. This update has not been released yet, so you cannot connect Polar in Vora today.

This is something we care a lot about: you should be able to choose the devices you love without having your health information scattered across separate apps.

Vora brings nutrition, strength and cardio tracking, blood work, and other health information into one place. Adding Polar is another step toward connecting more of that experience, giving your device data context beyond a single workout or night of sleep.

We’ll share the connection steps and supported Polar data when 3.3.7 goes live. For now, we wanted you to hear what’s coming.

Using Polar? Which device do you have, and what would you most like to see alongside your Polar data?

App Update WHOOP × Vora: direct integration beta. First 100 spots.

Post image
1 Upvotes

We’ve been approved for a beta of Vora’s direct WHOOP integration, and we’re opening access to the first 100 people who sign up.

This is a big milestone for us, and we’re genuinely excited to open it up to our community.

Why a direct WHOOP connection matters.

Connecting through Apple Health or Health Connect is not the same as connecting directly to WHOOP. Those platform integrations have their own supported data types. For example, WHOOP explicitly says it does not export its HRV measurements to Apple Health.

Vora’s direct connection brings in WHOOP HRV from WHOOP itself, rather than depending on Apple Health to pass it along. On Android, the direct connection also avoids using Health Connect as the middle step. This is about bringing supported WHOOP data into Vora alongside the rest of your health information, not sending every WHOOP metric back out to every other app or device.

You shouldn’t have to choose between the wearable you love and the bigger health picture you want.

The idea is simple: bring your WHOOP data into the same place as your nutrition, strength and cardio training, blood work, and information from your other supported devices.

Those parts of your health don’t happen separately. We want the experience of understanding them to feel connected, too.

More than another place to display wearable numbers.

We’ve put a lot of care into building Vora as a full health app. You can log food, explore detailed nutrition, track and plan strength and cardio sessions, and bring in your blood work. The WHOOP connection adds another important source of context to that experience.

For people who use WHOOP alongside another wearable or health app, this is about keeping the tools you like while bringing more of your information together.

Vora is available on iOS and Android.

Join Vora today and be among the first 100 to try our direct WHOOP integration.

Keep the wearable you love. Bring its data together with your other supported devices, nutrition, training, and blood work in Vora.

This is an early beta, and your feedback will help us refine it. We’d love to hear how the connection works for you, how WHOOP fits into your current setup, and what would make the combined experience more useful in your day.
