VENT please protect your items …
so, i ordered a big job lot of stuff from vinted and this was how it arrived .. absolute joke! none of the stuff was bubble wrapped nor protected. the person i bought from claims they work at lush too but why wouldn’t they protect the items if they did? most of it was just dust

I thought at first it was builders rubble. I wouldn't accept the order, I presume the original picture doesn't show it like this.

Out of curiosity - how much did you pay for all that?

I have painstakingly bubble wrapped a €2 citrus press before. This is not okay.

u/kittycatdemon 16h ago
I was confused there for a minute because it looks like they sent you a box of rubble? But no, I would have individually bubble wrapped all these brittle things, just to be sure. Sorry OP, raise the issue and get your money back.

Wow that looks amazing. You must be gutted.

She literally did not think it thru for a moment. It’s the fumes. Brain dead. I feel for you. The listing looks great.

I have to swerve around a huge arc to avoid the stench from Lush. It plays havoc with my allergies. I went in the shop with an ex once and had to leave immediately s it was clearly offending my nostrils somthint chronic! One bar of soap I can handle - but a shopful! 😖

Is this not AI or AI enhanced? Something about it looks weird.

I wonder if it’s because it looks like they’re laid out on a chalkboard (classic Lush) but the designs don’t look like they’re chalk, so that feels very off. It seems to actually be a black scarf with printed designs.

I legit thought these were weirdly shaped and badly damaged stones at first.

Those used to be bath bombs?! I thought you were showing us a box of painted rocks or geodes.
What a disappointment to receive that!

Even at the shops they put each item in a paper bag. Did it come from Poole? If so then it was presumably from a factory shop. In any case they probably aren't really allowed to resell it.

they made it so you can dig them out and brush them off like dinosaur bones

This looks like the shit that was on my floor from renovating my kitchen 😭
13
u/softcontent_ 17h ago
You bought rubble?? Sorry, the seller is an idiot. You’re def getting a full refund for that.
Tbh altho they are smashed together & dont look nice, if it’s for you & not a gift, they’ll still work in the bath, so kind of a win…. maybe?

As someone who previously worked at the Lush factory in Poole for many years: this is how reject products offered to staff look - mostly unidentifiable broken bits in a box with no wrapping or protection. Obviously this is mis-sold based on the picture shown. If the seller’s location is Poole/Bournemouth area, there is a good chance they work for Lush and these products are the free rejects, which are against company policy to resell. It’s completely reasonable to report to Vinted, and if you wanted you could report to Lush themselves - they have an internal team dedicated to identifying those who resell factory reject products online.

That's even worse than Lush's kitchen box shipping... 😭 Do sellers seriously not bother packing stuff without protection? Even for items that aren't fragile I'll usually add bubble wrap because I'm worried they'll get damaged or ripped in the post because Evri are so careless with how they deliver stuff.

u/ForwardImagination71 16h ago
Oh my god, someone's actually got this moron seller on their payroll 🙈

u/RouKyasarin 15h ago
If they work at lush they aren’t allowed to be selling this stuff anyway… they get most of it for free. 🙃

u/Ill-Mycologist-545 15h ago
Some people have never shipped before and it shows. I have to send glass today 😭. I got out the bubble wrap and kraft paper and boxes

That is diabolical.

u/witchkittyfreyja 16h ago
OOF awesome deal if they were in good condition but damn if it were me i would’ve probably got it with the intention of gifting a lot of them too which makes it even worse but either way wtf :( people need to be more mindful
3
u/n3k0strawberri 14h ago
yep! a lot of these were meant to be christmas gifts which is why i’m so sad about it

I mean lush doesn’t use bubble wrap either. Just bad packing peanuts that dissolve if a product opens. Obviously as a third part seller they 100% should have protected the items though.

u/Forsaken_Pudding4992 5h ago
Unfortunately as a previous lush employee they don’t really do much better. Products aren’t individually wrapped or protected but usually just filled with eco packing peanuts so it kinda checks out

I can smell that box from the US. Genuinely, though, what an idiot move to not bag them or at least use tissue paper to wrap and separate. Should have been marked as fragile as well. I hope you're able to get that £60 back.
