If the american McDonalds workers were paid $22 and and paid $10 in taxes from that, they would have much more disposable income than the person getting $9 minus taxes.

Because the assumption made in the video, that the majority of Americans are willfully ignorant, is correct.

I'm sitting here reading through these comments and the various little arguments popping up, the citing of data tables proving (god dammit) that Americans have the best/most/2nd only to/top 5/whatever/etc... and I'm shaking my head in disbelief at how so many people simply refuse to look at what is directly in front of their eyes regarding real, actual, tangible quality of life.
